Whirlwind Weekend

Whew! What a weekend! Gerard and Jill had Sydney's baptism, mom and dad were here and we all had so much fun! My Mom headed back to Michigan shortly after things came to a close on Saturday. Dad ended staying almost a week with us,which Jill and I both agree it was one of our favorite visits. We really didn't go anyplace ( Dollywood, Mountains etc, just the baptism on Saturday), just staying home, playing with the kids, eatting out, was plenty for us all.
The Baptism went well. Gerard's' family drove in from Chattanooga, other friends were also present for the event. Uncle James(Gerard's brother) and Corey(niece) are the godparents. Some of my pictures didn't turn out from the ceremony...sorry. They held the luncheon at Beardon Banquet Hall. Very yummy I might add. Sydney hardly fussed, she was very well behaved:) Leave it to my kids to have 1000 ? on the event. I don't think they really remembered Ella's baptism . Kids do asks the toughest ? Don't they?!
Speaking of kids.... you know they had to have grandpa take them to walmart...after an hour going up and down each isle in the toy dept. We were finally heading for the check out lines :0 Bradlynn got a baby, Cart, the lightning mcqueen car as the 'dinoco' car. Hunter..oh Hunter, had to choose the repeat parrot...ugh! Needless to say, the bird went into hiding.
The kids hated to see grandpa go home, but knowing he will be back for birthdays in Nov. made it a little easier. Well, once again my timmer has gone off- I have to limit my time on this- aren't you proud of my julieb. One more thing, I would like to share this with you, my dear friend, Julie Kellar, her dad, Pastor Talley- Hyles Baptist Church, was suprised at the soul-winning confernce in Longview, Tx. by Dr. Bob Gray with an Honorary Doctorate! Congrads ! Bro. Talley, or I should say Dr. Talley. I hope you all have a blessed day!

3 Days and Counting!

This summer, East Tennessee has broken a record with 30 days straight above the 90' mark and with only three days to go 'til the official first day of FALL, it's hard to believe that we are still in the high 80's !! The kids and I dug thru all our moving boxes ( which are still PACKED full of stuff in the garage ) to try and find our Fall Decor Box. 89 boxes later..... our home is lookin' pretty fallish, Of course we have to have all our tart burners filled with pumpkin spice :) I am not sure who had more fun, Bradlynn and Carter placing leaves in that so perfect spot or Chase and Hunter pushing them off to see the leaves " falling off the ground" ...according to Hunter!
I am not sure if any of you have ever seen a water line brake, but today we did! I have to admit it was the coolest thing! The boys,( Chase, Hunter ) and I were on our way to the school to pick up Brad and Cart. When we turned onto Beaver Creek, you should have seen the water shooting up like a massive water fountain. The water was so high, it was taller than the evergreen trees, taller than the electric poles, taller than the telephone poles! And you know we just had to drive thru it!!! Actually we drove a couple times thru it! The boys and I were going crazy! We loved it! And of course, it drew a crowd, and do you think I had our camera with me? nope...just took it out of the van. I think today was the fastest that we have ever picked up the kids from school- you know we couldn't take a different route home, we had to take to Brad and Cart back thru our water explosion! They too went crazy, unfortunately, we could only go thru once...someone called the police:(
The kids have a pretty busy Friday, Bradlynn has a spelling test, reading test, and Carter has a math test, spelling test, verse test and a phonics test. With that ahead of us, we must close... have a blessed evening and Happy Fall Y'all!!!

Here We Go!

Welcome to the Busby's latest "honeycomb" project---(as if we don't have enough going on in our "hive" ) We are going to try to keep up with this, so all of you, can keep up with us :) Things are going really well here in Knoxville! The kids are loving it at Temple and are back with old friends. I started up with MOPS again, which Hunter loves going to his 'school-class' . We are getting ready for a visit from my mom and dad this weekend. Jill's daughter, Sydney, is getting baptized. Hunter and I are still trying to get the potty training down to a T. We are now doing the "golden ticket" every time he goes - without being reminded, he gets a hole punch on his golden ticket . Once the ticket is completed, he gets to choose a treasure, from the treasure store ( An item from the $ dollar store) You gotta love that place! :) Well, my timer has gone off and I must buzz on to getting our kids ready for bed... hope you all have a blessed evening/day!
