...As she turns 10

Where does the time go?! Monday morning, Bradlynn Amelia will turn 10! It was like yesterday that she was coming home from the hospital. I look back at these past ten years and I am so blessed by God that He has given me Bradlynn. I have learned so much from her as a mom, as a sister, a friend. Bradlynn has such a heart for everything she does. She is so compassionate and patient with her brothers, even though I know she gets over it at times:) She has the most tender prayers and loves her church and pastor.
I love to hear her play the piano, her recorder, and teach her brothers new things, which sometimes can be a little scary! Bradlynn as you turn ten, I pray that God will be real in your life, that others my see Him in you. I know the Lord has great things for your life and I pray that you will always keep him first! You are such an encouragement to me and I love you beyond words! Thanks for keeping things real! I love you baby girl! ~Mommy

An Official Letter...

After waiting and waiting, Bradlynn finally received her letter from President Bush! She was a little nervous when she saw the return address... she was worried it was a letter from the president elect. A big sigh of relief came over when she opened it and realized that it was from President Bush. He thanked her for her prayers and wished her well. Enclosed was a picture of him at their ranch, cowboy hat and all. She was thrilled, and guards the letter and picture with great care! The boys are not allowed to get near them! As a matter of fact, she has hidden them both- Only Bradlynn :)

The Simple Woman post, a day late...

FOR TODAY... Tuesday, 21th of October...
Outside My Window... it's dark and the sun is slowing making its way up.
I am thinking that... today is going to be a fast, crazy day:)
I am thankful for... the friends that I have that love me regardless
From the kitchen... fresh pot of coffee brewing.
I am wearing... my black skirt, red jacket, ready for work :)
I am creating a... special book for Bradlynn for her birthday next mth.
I am going... to have a great day!
I am reading... my Bible and Teachers of Good Things by Francie Taylor
I am hoping... that my children will get a heart for missions.(We are in the middle of missions conf.)
I am hearing... the stillnes of the house, the cars driving on Emory Rd. and the humming of the fridge.
Around the house... it is very peaceful and still, everyone is still in bed.
One of my favorite things... is getting up first, drinking my coffee and having my time with God.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: Finish the week:) Enjoy missions conference, Make some pumpkin muffins for a friend, having a girlie evening on Friday:)
Here is picture thought I am sharing...

Quick update

Can you believe that we are halfway through October? It seems the year is just going by so fast! Missions Conference begins on Saturday, with our International Banquet. Which I might add, I am sooo looking fwd to this! I think this is our kids favorite time of the year. Hunter is especially excited about going to the college for dinner and getting his passport stamped, and most importantly, the "balloon man" will be there. He has been counting down the days! Also, with this month brings a mention of my sister-in-law, Julie & her book that has just been released... hence the picture off to the side. It's a great, fun book with lots of practical helps. You are welcome to read my copy or you may purchase one through the christian womanhood website. Yes Julie that was my one free plug:) I highly recommend it! Well, it's late and I am turning in for the night... hope everyone has a blessed weekend! ~jod

Trying To Catch Up

Okay, it has been 7 mths since our last post...major comp. probs - the child shall remain nameless :) All is well with our family, school is out in 2 weeks (10 days to be exact) The children are so excited, I have to admit I am too. My mom and dad will be visiting us next weekend, the queen has her piano recital, and is very excited about their visit:) The boys are too! Carter is looking forward to t-ball begining and Hunter wants to play as well! Sadly, you have to be 5:( Sorry Huntie! Chase has developed the NO word down to a T, along with wearing out "mommy" he does say Ella pretty good along with sis, Jill minus the 'aunt'. He loves to tell EVERYONE hey, along with showing his belly! As for me, I have been enjoying spending my sisters money- or I should say Gerard's $ decorating their new home:) I will try to get new pictures loaded of the kids ect., first I have to let jill figure out her new program:) Hope all of you are doing well- blog to ya soon! jod
